Dr. Sam and I discussed how to stay motivated and accountable. You don't want to become your own worst enemy, the person holding you back. She talked about strategies that work for her patients that she suggests as a coach and physical therapist. I spoke from my personal experience and what I've learned over the years studying stroke recovery and helping other survivors.

Dr. Samantha Amadeo is a physical therapist and board-certified neurologic clinical specialist. She specializes in stroke rehabilitation and treatment of other acute neurologic conditions. Dr. Amadeo is passionate about improving care to people following a stroke or neurologic injury by increasing access to care and providing individualized, evidence-based interventions. She is the owner of NeuroThrive: Neurologic Physical Therapy & Wellness through which she provides in-home and virtual physical therapy and exercise and wellness programming. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Jax.
