Pediatric Assessment: General Approach and Tips

Описание к видео Pediatric Assessment: General Approach and Tips

Hi friends, this video is the first of several that will take a look at various aspects of the pediatric assessment. Because children tend to give subtler warning signs that something is amiss compared to adults, it is of paramount importance that you know how to obtain accurate assessment information from your patients. This way you will be better able to identify and act on the warning signs you come across.

Since pediatrics is such a specialized area that is likely unfamiliar to many, I will show you exactly how you can approach pediatric assessments with your patients, starting with your visual assessment and how that is equally as important as your hands-on assessment. We will close this video with some of my tried-and-true pro tips for working with hospitalized kids. It is my hope that by the end of this video you will feel better prepared to care for ill children and more comfortable interacting with them!
