An enjoyable roguelike rpg game where you go on an expedition consisting of a map filled with branching levels of battles. Able to choose and play as different classes you build up your army and strategize your formation and use of abilities to complete and progress through the missions. So there is some replayability with trying out the various characters. The gameplay is fun with there being two parts to it, controlling the rearguard with mainly the chosen character before setting out on the journey, and a vanguard with the set of squad that are recruit as you go. It is an rts strategy game as you control your troops, moving them and fighting against the enemies. While managing your rearguard and casting abilities from the back with the management of the mana pool.
The music is quite nice with all the sparkly sound effects and medieval-like music adding to the fantasy component of the game. With the pixel graphics, it looks pretty good as well. There are also a lot of different designs of the characters that are recruited as well as the enemies and monsters that are faced. Overall, it is a neat little rts game with fun gameplay controlling your forces as you fight battles on the expedition.
