Super Mario Maker - Pit of Panga: U-Break beaten

Описание к видео Super Mario Maker - Pit of Panga: U-Break beaten

Here is another one of Panga's levels in Super Mario Maker called U-Break. This level was easily regarded as the most difficult level in Super Mario Maker when it was created, but there are some other levels now that could be more difficult than it, and I know there are some levels being created that will be harder than it, such as Carl's level he is working on.

I am the first American to beat this level, which is pretty sweet. If you notice, the level had 10 clears when I played it, and the red flag was already there when I beat it. That is because this is the second time I beat this level. I don't know what happened, but during my first clear of it, my capture card somehow came unplugged while I was recording that run, so I had no video of it at all. I was very reluctant to do it, but I cleared it again because I really wanted to have the clear video. I tried to recreate the reaction after reaching the end, but I know it didn't feel the same the second time I beat it.

Let's see if I can describe the process of beating this level for you all. I didn't keep a timer of how long it took me, but I know it was over 50 hours. The second clear took a surprising 23 minutes. There are two things I do in an unintended way in this level, and that is the spring jump after bouncing off the first big beetle, and the entire part with Yoshi. For the spring, you are supposed to throw the spring under the big beetle, and bounce off it to reach the red Koopa. That is monumentally more difficult than the way I did it, and no one has beaten the level that way other than Panga himself. For the Yoshi part, I am using the strategy Grand_POOBear found. The intended method is way different, and you can see it by looking up someone else's clear video.

The hardest part to learn is definitely the very beginning. The most intimidating part is probably the shell juggling. The juggling also has the most room for variation though, so it is hard to tell what you are doing wrong if you fail. I figured out exactly how it works after a lot of practice, and now I can do it nearly every time; the only place I fail is the double shell jump at the end of it.
