This song is a tribute to my grandfather. Born in 1913 in Seven Persons Alberta, Canada. He was the oldest of five. They burned buffalo chips in the woodstove in the winter cause trees were scarce. My Great Grandfather raised horses and sold most of them to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
He grew up and went on to work as a lumberjack, subsistence farmer and railroad worker. He was my hero - a true Jack Pine Savage.
