The intention behind buying the Nocona Boot Company factory was just to make it a warehouse. Well that's not what happened.

Craig Carter saved the old Nocona Boot Company factory building from being bulldozed. After saving it, Carter encountered a lot of unexpected blessings. The rural community was a stark experience compared to urban life.

When Carter was rehabbing the building, person after person gave their accounts of working in different parts of the Nocona Boot Factory.

At one point, the factory employed over 500 people. Miss Enid Justin was a true woman pioneer of western boots and industry.
