Question:
A solid cube of side 12 cm is cut into eight cubes of equal volume. What will be the side of the new cube ? Also, find the ratio between their surface ratios.

Approach to solve the question:
1. Equate the volume of larger cube and the volume of 8 small cubes.
2. Compute the side of a new cube by assigning a variable to it.
3. Compute the surface area of both the large cube and new cube using the formula CSA = 6 * a^2, where a is the side of the cube.
4. Compute the ratio between both their areas.
