The United States has charged a former RAW official, Vikash Yadav, for allegedly orchestrating a failed plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun residing in New York City. The US Justice Department has charged the former Indian intelligence officer with murder-for-hire and money laundering. The indictment allegedly mentions that hours after Nijjar was gunned down in his car on June 18 outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara temple in Surrey, 'CC1' (Vikash Yadav) shared a real-time video showing the Khalistani terrorist's body with Nikhil Gupta. However, it is not known who shot and sent the video to Yadav.

AAP leader and former Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was granted bail, two years after he was arrested in connection with a money laundering case. “The trial is yet to begin, let alone conclude,” a Delhi court said, citing Jain's long incarceration of 18 months. While granting bail, the Rouse Avenue Court also referenced the Supreme Court’s ruling in the case of Manish Sisodia, emphasising the right to a speedy trial as a fundamental right.

The Supreme Court closed proceedings in a case of alleged illegal confinement against Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation after statements from two women who said they were voluntarily living at the organisation's ashram without coercion.

The Supreme Court lifted the stay imposed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on the trial against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in three sacrilege cases dating back to 2015. A bench of Justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan also issued a notice to Ram Rahim, requiring his response within four weeks.
