✨Are you in overwhelming darkness? God is the One who comes to us even in despair.✨

To Abram, who was gripped by fear before promises that seemed unlikely to be fulfilled, God responded with a covenant.

In ancient covenants, both parties had to pass through split animals together, but God alone passed through and made a covenant taking all responsibility Himself.

This was unconditional grace, a blood covenant completed on Jesus' cross.

God gives us unconditional love and grace today, building weak faith into strong faith.

Let us live with faith that God's promises will surely be fulfilled, even when we see no visible results.

What God required from Abram was only faith to accept God's promises.
✦ Abram showed human limitations, trapped in great darkness and fear, anxious while expecting immediate results, but even with imperfect weak faith, he showed obedience following God's guidance through trial and error with an attitude of accepting God's promises.

Lessons for Us
✦ Remember that times of great darkness and fear are when God works anew, have faith that God's promises will surely be fulfilled even without visible results, and hold onto God's comfort that "it will end" and persevere through times of suffering.
✦ Instead of the burden of having to do something, have faith that accepts God's grace, trust that God builds us up through faith even with weak faith, and as descendants of Abraham live building our lives on the words of promise and enjoying God's blessings.
