Heart warming moment when the disables dog get a chance to run again - ElephantNews

When one lifts a life who is on the edge of being and bring them to a safe and happy condition, that is a great gift, to the animal and to ourselves. The handicapped dogs at Elephant Nature Park have various tragic histories, whether from abuse, accident, disease or neglect. Many we have sent outside for critical care or surgery. Some vets will often recommend the animal to be put to sleep, but when their eyes pierce your own, seeking a final opportunity to live, we cannot leave them behind when it is within our power to help.
This story is a small window into the lives of the many dogs who are living with us. These challenged yet luminous lives can run and play again. They are loved and well-cared for.
