The Peaceful and quaint town of Namsai actually has a rich warrior legacy. The warriors showcased their strategic prowess and warrior spirit at the Anglo-Khamti War, though they were eventually overwhelmed by the British forces. The legacy of their resistance remains a point of pride and cultural identity for the community.

ATURTO is a new MMA organization that aims to bring the excitement and thrill of mixed martial arts to the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The name "ATURTO" means "be strong" in the Nyishi dialect, emphasizing the theme of strength physically, mentally and emotionally.
