Replace rubber power button on collar Garmin DC40

Описание к видео Replace rubber power button on collar Garmin DC40

Today I will tell you how to properly replace a damaged rubber power button on a Garmin DC 40 collar.
The plastic base of the collar body contains a rubber layer with a flexible button, it is necessary to completely remove the rubber layer from the plastic base.
Warm up the rubber layer a little with a household hair dryer (be careful with the plastic, do not overheat!) Remove the old rubber layer with the button.
After removing the old button, clean the surface with fine sandpaper.
Slightly roll the edge of the button hole - this will prolong the service life.
Degrease the surface with alcohol. Next, use primer Loctite SF770, evenly treat the surface where the button will be glued, also prime the button.
For high-quality gluing, use Loctite 454 cyanoacrylate glue-gel. Apply it to the surface of the case, and spread it evenly over the surface with a wooden stick.
There should not be a lot of glue, otherwise it will be squeezed out along the edges and into the hole of the button, which can affect the elasticity of the rubber and the button can be hardly pressed through.
Glue the button, Press firmly with your fingers (a couple of minutes is enough).
Wait 24 hours for final bonding before assembling.
Everything is ready!
