RoRo StretchPack is an automatic horizontal tube stretch packaging machine capable of packaging a wide range of products on all six sides. This provides a reliable protection for the goods against all environmental stress and ensuring excellent load stability. The goods are clearly visible due to the smooth surface of the transparent film and it offers a unique opportunity for nice printing on the film and thus branding.
The machine operates 100% automatic (thus saving manpower), can work in-line or as a stand-alone machine and due to the optimized design the machine has a small foot print and takes up little space in the factory.
The machine uses biaxial stretching to combine horizontal and vertical film tensioning forces. This ensures excellent load stability, even for irregular packages and sensitive unit loads.
The RoRo StretchPack machine is engineered to have as few moving parts as possible to avoid wear and tear and to reduce maintenance cost. The optimized movements also contribute to improve the machine’s availability. A patented opening system keeps the film open without any moving parts and together with the optimized Roll-on Roll-off grippers guarantee safe film handling and high up-time. No heating of film – reduces the risk of fire and potentially minimizes insurance rates.
RoRo StretchPack is designed as a maintenance friendly machine. Belt drives and ball guiding’s are used for all moving parts and thus removing any lubrication and adjustment as needed on some alternatives. Only standard and widely available components like Siemens drives and PLC, Festo pneumatic and SEW motors are used.
Compared with a shrink film solution, a reduction of film consumption of 20 – 60% can be expected. The result being that money can be saved as well as the time needed for changing film are reduced. Film rolls are fast and easily changed using a fork-lift.
Low-maintenance, excellent packaging capacity and short downtimes mean that the machine has an attractive ROI (Return On Investment) and an attractive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
By exchanging existing heat shrink tunnels with RoRo StretchPack machines the following can be achieved:
