I have been lucky enough to to help test the new VTX 477 blades for the past week on my Logo 480. I was able to test three different prototype blades against my Edge blades I used as my control blade. As most of you guys who know me know my flying style is more big air smooth 3D. I was worried if I would really notice a difference as I have never done any actually back to back blade testing.

I was extremely pleased to say the least. I'm No Smack pilot but I hope my test results and feedback can represent the 75% of the pilots out there. All three sets performed FFF no seen pitch ups. I was noise tipped forward full 13 degrees of pitch and she held the line perfect like it was on a rail system. I was even able to pull right up into a power loop at the end of each of the runs. The blades welcomed hands free hovering at center stick and quickly went into forward flight with a push of the cyclic stick.

Pitch pumps and climb outs felt really good and I was extremely surprised at how much more pop the blades had over the Edge blades. I felt more connected with the model and some of the blades required 1/4 less input over the Edge blades to perform the same maneuvers.

Hard rainbow stops and reversals were almost instant with little to no bog or headspeed changes at all. Tic Tocs were precise on all the blades and you could feel the blades really bite in.

All in all for my big air sport 3D semi smack pilot flying style the blades performed great and I enjoyed the crispness, the speed, the aggressiveness and the fact I had to input 1/4 less stick inputs I had to on the Edge blades.
