Rocky gives some commentary on the recent big news from Scotland. The Glen Affric tartan remnant, first discovered around 40 years ago preserved in peat, has been reevaluated and dated by experts working with the V & A Dundee museum. Their procedure utilized both radiocarbon dating and analysis of the dyes in the cloth. In all the experiment took six months to complete and led to an amazing conclusion; the specimen is much older than previously thought. Dating to sometime between 1500 and 1600, the Glen Affric remnant is now officially the oldest surviving example of Scottish tartan yet discovered.

DO YOU THINK USA Kilts should offer a reproduction of the new old tartan pattern?
