Triathlons pretty frequently offer temporary race day tattoos for participants.
They go on and stay on pretty well. You have a choice of whether to just leave them until they wear off or you can remove them.
This is the easiest and fastest way that I know of to remove temporary race day tattoos.
It does not hurt but I don't know if I would do this if I had a lot of body hair. Then it might hurt.
I also have not tried this with kids. My kids were big fans of temporary tattoos when they were small and I didn't know this method then. As an adult you can watch me do this for myself and I don't think it hurts a lot. For me it's a lot less painful than scrubbing a long time on my skin.
Other methods are to use baby oil to remove the tattoo which does help.
