Convection Current - GCSE Physics Practical

Описание к видео Convection Current - GCSE Physics Practical

How is convection current formed in a liquid or a gas? Have a look at how convection is shown in water in a rectangular glass tube.
When a liquid is heated, the liquid gains thermal energy and becomes less dense (particles spread out).
When it becomes less dense, it rises to displace the cooler water at the top.
When it is at the top, it then cools.
It now becomes more dense and, therefore, it sinks.
This process repeats to form a convection current.
