Scott Henderson's Pentatonic Substitution Secrets

Описание к видео Scott Henderson's Pentatonic Substitution Secrets

Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Scales & Tales with Scott Henderson's Pentatonic Substitution Secrets. I've had a number of requests to feature more of Scott's music, along with tackling the interesting, yet confusing study of substitutions - namely the impressive/useful pentatonic-based substitutions that appear in jazz, fusion, rock, metal, and many other styles of music - so let's dive in!

This episode includes material pulled from two Scott Henderson-related sources. The first is an old lesson he wrote for Guitar School Magazine that appeared in the march 1992 issue. The second is from a 5-6 page handout from a clinic that Scott held at GIT in 1989, which covers the same material from the lesson from the magazine, but using an opposite view and approach.

Needless to say, if you're a Scott Henderson fan, a player looking for information surrounding common pentatonic-based scale substitutions, a pentatonic-based player looking to expand their musical world and options, or maybe you're just curious what all the fuss is about - this lesson is totally for you! Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!
