3D printed hypercar costs two million dollars - Goodwood interview with Kevin Czinger, CEO

3D Printing Industry went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and heard how Kevin Czinger, Founder and CEO of the motor-company Czinger, plans to disrupt the automotive industry with additive manufacturing and advanced technology.

The 21c hypercar will push the limits of performance and represents the DAPS system at the vehicle level.

“Our vehicles represent the apex of that production technology, and the business model it enables — fabless car manufacturing. We seek to drive the transition between the existing 100-year-old analog tooling and stamping approach, to auto manufacturing and full digital manufacturing.”

Via a strategic alliance with Divergent, Czinger aims to provide "Factory-as-a-service" to automakers who want to access fully-optimized generative design enabled by AI, zero tooling & fixturing spend leading to a faster production cycle.
