Clearing the cache in Microsoft Teams on a Windows OS can help resolve issues such as slow performance, freezing, or crashing. Here are the steps to clear the MS Teams cache in Windows.

First Thing First.

Please check how user is trying to access it; from Teams client, Teams on the web, or Teams Mobile App.

Make sure user is using right combination of username and password.

Ask user to login on to the browser (https://teams.microsoft.com) and verify same functionality. This will confirm if the issue is specific to Teams client.

Troubleshoot issues with Teams client.

Exit Microsoft Teams: Close the Teams application completely. You can do this by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and selecting "Quit" or "Exit."

Enter the path to the Teams cache folder: In the Run dialog box, type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and click "OK." This will open the Teams cache folder.

Clear the Teams cache: Select all the files and folders in the Teams cache folder and delete them. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + A to select all the files and folders, and then press the Delete key.

Restart Microsoft Teams: Launch Teams again and sign in with your credentials. The app will recreate the cache files it needs.

Please Note: You won't lose any user data by clearing the cache.
Restarting Teams after you clear the cache might take longer than usual because the Teams cache files have to be rebuilt.
