Vauxhall Insignia HID headlamp & ballast replacement

Step by step guide on how to replace the osf headlamp , HID bulb & ballast on a 2009 Vauxhall / opel insignia. the headlight wasn't working due to water ingress and corrosion damage to the ballast. same procedure applies for the NSF headlamp.
