About Bethe:
Bethe (Chenopodium Album) is a weed that grows wildly, all around the World, in wheat and potato fields. It is eaten as green leafy vegetable in Nepal and northern part of India. The leafy green is said to very good for health specially for iron and calcium comtained in it. Too much of it can work as stomach irritant.

In Nepal Bethe ko saag is either cooked as a vegatable or eaten as fresh achhar (spicy salad).

About Latte:
Latte is a wildly growing plant found in most hilly regions on Nepal. They grow on the roadside, forest borders and agricultural fields. They normally grow during the monsoon season.
One picks the top of the latte plant to cook into a saag (greens) that can be consumed with rice and other food items.

It takes a bit of a practice to recognize the latter plant.

It has a grainy texture and may not be to everyone's liking. It keeps one healthy during the monsoon season and rainy days. It is also known to provide good quantity of iron to those who eat it.
