Game 1 of 3 of the Tigers (29-45) playing host to the Royals (27-47) in Detroit! Well, Detroit looked alright on the Western part of their road trip, taking 2 of 3 from the Diamondbacks and splitting with the Giants. Their offense looked better in the Arizona and San Fran series, and the pitching has been as consistent and solid as it has been all season; this could lead to a great start to the homestand as they take on a Royals team that has its own share of problems with finding a form of consistency. If the Tigers want to start to salvage the start of this season, these 3 games are a must win (or at least 2 of 3 are) and it starts with a win right away. Can the Tigers get to 30 wins and start their march toward .500 as the ASG nears? Or will the Royals start to climb out of last place with this series? Let's hope not! LETS GO TIGERS!
