Welcome to the Formula 1 World Championship! A championship where the fastest drivers of the world finally compete in an organised championship format to become the world champion!

Following the end of WW2, a variety of GP races were held all around the world but they were treated as individual races, with no championship being awarded for the best performer. 1947 saw the F1 race regulations be introduced by the FIA, but it wasn’t until the fourth season in 1950 that it started crowning a champion for the whole season.
