Today we're taking a deep-delve into a wonderful OSR supplement that contains everything you ever wanted to know about Dwarven civilisation -- and probably a great deal you didn't know you wanted to know!

By This Axe is designed for the Adventurer, Conqueror, King OSR system (known as ACKS), which is currently Kickstarting an Elven Cyclopedia in the same vein at the link above. At the same time, this is your chance to snag a second printing of the ACKS II: Imperial Imprint core books, which are extremely well put together and particularly exciting if you enjoy domain-level play in D&D (which I very much do!). However, even if you're not into ACKS, both By This Axe and Before All Others are fully compatible with other OSR systems, with ample conversion notes to help you along the way.
