Horsham District’s new leisure centre declared open

Horsham District’s brand new sports and leisure centre – The Bridge – was officially declared open at a special event on the evening of Friday 19 October. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated the opening of this state-of-the-art facility.

A thrilling new feature of the leisure centre will be the colourful and challenging new climbing facility known as Clip ’n Climb housed in a fantastic indoor space covering 154m2. No experience is required as a full safety briefing is given so both children and adults alike can enjoy the challenge of climbing up to a height of 7.5 meters. Look out for WOW features such as the Twister, Astroball, Stairway to Heaven and Leap of Faith.

The centre also includes a 70+ station gym, a six court sports hall, five outdoor sports courts, three studios including an indoor cycling studio, athletics track, café, meeting room and a range of junior activities.

An exciting space within the centre will be the new Sensory Room, designed to encourage users to develop and enjoy their senses. The room can transform from a calming and soothing place to an exciting and engaging interactive space full of light and sound.

There are also fully accessible Changing Places toilet facilities in addition to the more standard ‘disabled toilets’.
