Elk Mountain is 1432 M in elevation and is located just south of Chilliwack BC.
The hiking trail takes on average 3-4 hours to complete with a roundtrip of 8.2 km and a moderate 791 m climb through a well-maintained
forest trail and the ridge rises above most of the tree line as you reach the summit.
Incredible 180+ degree views of the Fraser River Valley with Golden Ears & Robbie Reid Peaks to the northwest, and to the southeast into Chilliwack River Valley and the Cascade Mountains, Cultus Lake, Mt. Baker, Slesse Mountain & Mt. Rexford to name a few in this legendary range along this viewpoint.
A great entry-level hike all year round Elk Mountain is the beginning of many great alpine trails leading out of the Fraser River Valley and has some of the best & most accessible views from the city.
