Basics of Hermetic Qabalah

This is an overview of basics of Hermetic Qabalah. This will be for beginners, and for anyone who wants a refresher.

Hermetic Qabalah is a Western esoteric tradition. It is the underlying philosophy and framework for magical societies such as the Golden Dawn, Thelemic orders, and other mystical-religious societies. Hermetic Qabalah arose alongside Christian Cabala, both evolving from Jewish Kabbalah. Hermetic Qabalah differs from the Jewish form in being a more admittedly syncretic system, however it shares many concepts with Jewish Kabbalah. The Hermetic form integrates hermeticism, Western astrology, Alchemy, Pagan religions: especially Egyptian and Greco-Roman, neoplatonism, gnosticism, the Enochian system of angelic magic of John Dee and Edward Kelley, tantra and the symbolism of the tarot.
