It was so fun to get to chat with you guys about IFS and working with protector parts! Part 3 of my IFS series and this livestream are all about how, as Dick Schwartz says, there really are "No Bad Parts." The more that we can understand this as therapists and help our clients to gain more compassion for the parts that protected them from pain or trauma, the more we can gain freedom from unhelpful patterns of behavior and live more from our big S self.
In this Q&A session, I also dive into some of the connections between attachment theory and IFS, as well as Coherence Therapy and Internal Family Systems. We asked discussed how to talk about the concept of parts with clients.
