Aug. 29 on The Story: During the November 2020 election, Oregon voters approved the revolutionary drug decriminalization and treatment initiative Measure 110. It wasn't really even close — over 58% voted in favor. But there have been rumblings of a shift in public opinion in the intervening years, after a rocky rollout of drug treatment funding and the rapid emergence of fentanyl as a cheap, powerful and popular street drug. According to a recent poll, that shift is real. The results appear to show that a majority of Oregonians would rather repeal Measure 110 than leave it alone, and they'd be even more in favor of repealing the decriminalization aspects of the law.
