Husqvarna 400 Series Chainsaw Chain Tension. Husqvarna 435, 440, 445, 450, 455, 460 chainsaws

A brief description on the basics of how to adjust a chain. It is very important that the chain not be too tight or loose. Damage and personal injury can result if chain is not kept at proper tension. NOTE: A new chain will stretch as it breaks in. Keep a close eye on chain tension during the first tank of fuel used.

This adjusting procedure is common to all the Husqvarna 400 series chainsaws. Models included would be 435, 440, 445, 450, 455 and 460.
The saw used is a 450E. There are only minor differences such as some models having 2 bar nuts while others have only 1.
