Today,not most Ilocano youth know about their identity, there may be available books to learn our identity as a people, but not everyone is interested. But if you showcase it through performing arts, many will be interested. It is high time for us to revisit the importance of performing arts to inculcate the value of our culture, traditions and our Ilocano artistry and identity. History is our story!

Our story "Patan-aw" or the blessing of the fields is a longtime tradition meant, through the intercession of St. Nicolas De Tolentino, to call down God's favor on crops and petition for protection from disasters,and unleash God's blessings upon them and their harvest!
