What's happened is the gasket has become heated and compressed.

Basically taking the sealing properties away from the valve cover and the bolts, on your GEMS engine Discovery 1, Defender 90, Classic, and '96 to early '99 P38 Range Rover.

This is why they leak.

And over a period of time you will do these on a regular basis on these just by design every 3 or 4 years.

Using part # LVC100260 , you will need two gaskets to perform this service. We have made a kit available that includes everything you need: VCGK.
