Wake shapers have become very popular because wakesurfing has become very popular. Most wake shapers cost anywhere from $100 to $700. You can build a DIY wake shaper or homemade wake shaper for around $40. Most wake shapers come with only one shaper, Surf Mode comes with two wake shapers for V-drive surf boats and 3 wake shapers for direct drive boats. Wake shapers help create a wave for wakesurfing. They use something called delayed convergences, which is a fancy term for slowing water down. The wake shaper(s) slow water down on one side of the boat to help create the wave on the opposite side of the boat.
