We cannot hide anything from the Lord, let alone our many sins we commit. Repentance acknowledges before God that we want to improve and are choosing him again and again.

The 3 steps to repentance include:

1. Conviction: Godly Sorrow and Recognition of Sin

This first step involves the Holy Spirit awakening us to the reality of our sin—not just regret over consequences, but deep sorrow for offending a holy God. It produces a heartfelt desire to change.

2. Confession: Acknowledging and Turning to God

Secondly, we openly admit our sin to God (and sometimes to others affected), agreeing with His judgment and seeking forgiveness. This is where we “confess and forsake”

Proverbs 28:13 tells us "Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”

3. Change and Restoration: Forsaking Sin and Bearing Fruit

True repentance shows itself in a transformed life—forsaking the sin, making restitution where possible, and producing “fruit in keeping with repentance” (Matthew 3:8). This step & process demonstrates the change is genuine.

We cannot hide our sins from God & by choosing to repent & turn to him every day shows we acknowledge him and want to be better. As we do so, we'll become more like him & be closer to God, which intern will bring us more peace and happiness every day in our lives #fyp #jesus #god #repent #faith
