During a visit to Road Scholars we met Simon Briggs, one of the few people in the world who can rebuild Porsche's famous four-cam flat four. We had to talk to him about it and capture it on video. The gear-driven engine was designed by the legendary Ernst Fuhrmann and produced upwards of 200 horsepower by the end of its development in the 1960s, the perfect fit for race cars such as the 904 Carrera GTS seen at the beginning and end of this video.
