Police in Pakistan had on Thursday (29/6) still not been able to
trace three German engineers, kidnapped from the Northwest
Frontier Province, although the car in which they were travelling
has been found. Horst Ammon, Gunter Maier and Friedrich Koehler
were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday night. They were among five
German nationals employed by the German firm AEG working on a
project about 5 miles (8 km) south of the provincial capital of
Peshawar.
