i have a reason why this won't be titled "Columbus Day Rush Hour," and that is because we should recognize the people that lived here before he set foot here, and tried to oppress the population. racism and classism are not only a huge problem now, but have been since the dawn of human civilization. especially where i live, there is a massive class war going on, not only in my town, but the entirety of Long Island. rich people trashing and intimidating the middle class, the poor, and minority groups, while "setting up shop" in their own communities, and turning them into more upper class areas. back in the time of the natives, it was people, such as Columbus, that tried to set up their communities by gathering the Indigenous and basically forcing them under their control. another example of this is in the early days of our country, which still painted the way for what is occuring today. Long Island is NOT the only area under class war, you can see it in many other areas of other states and countries. and now we have domestic terrorism and gun violence, which is making these horrible race & class wars all the more obvious, and, unfortunately, fatal. moral of this story is i am not pointing fingers, but i am trying to teach the lesson of history. and the history of Columbus Day, which should now be recognized as Indigenous People's Day, is very important, and not just a day off from school/work, it is a day to recognize the hardships of people who were here first, and were pushed out due to being "different."

all i ask is do not mass dislike this video because of the description. i am not pointing fingers.

this is a decent rush hour with buses everywhere. it is amazing what a "holiday" schedule brought here.! many Gilligs.!!!
