Pushpa Palanchoke is the youngest female ethnomusicologist in Nepal. Long fascinated by ancestral music, she has embarked on a rich and colourful journey to every corner of the Himalayas to preserve and promote communal music. With her community-based arts programme, Folk Lok, Pushpa works devotedly alongside indigenous music groups to uncover old echoes and stimulate new voices, ensuring that the sounds of Nepal’s past are not lost to history.
