My flight three weeks ago was rebooked which worked out pretty great because I would not have been home when this box of treasure arrived! I wanted to say a huge thank you to Martha. Becoming the guardian of these remarkable garments means more to me than I can fully express. This collection isn’t just fabric and thread it’s a living history and I feel deeply privileged to be a part of its story. The full unboxing is 30 minutes so I will have cut it into shorter pieces but I wanted to share the first few garments I pulled out with you! I haven’t even filmed a try on but oh my GOSH! The Edwardian ladies were as tall as me and the gowns are immediately going into my closet to be worn and loved.
