How I studied for GMAT in 1 month

After getting motivated to give the GMAT exam and pursue a master's degree, I began my journey back in November 2019 but didn't get to properly study for it till the first week of January 2020.

After researching and attempting to start studying in December 2019, I ended up studying only 3 hours during the Christmas holidays. I came back to Hyderabad on 5th January and on 6th booked my GMAT date as 8th February. Now that the exam date was fixed, I could no longer postpone my study plan and mapped out how the entire month should go. I decided what study material I would use and started my preparations from 6th January. After a month of study and mocks, finally, on 8th February I gave my GMAT exam and got a score of 660.

I decided to apply to all the colleges I had in mind with a score of 660

A few days later, on 14th February, after talking to a friend, I instantly checked the possibility of a 2nd attempt and booked the date 25th February.

Thus, once again I set on a path to realizing my target score of 700. After a fast-paced 10 days, I attempted the GMAT again on 25th February and got a score of 690. I couldn't realize my target but I nevertheless very happy to improve by 30 points in just 10 days without any new material.

I did start my preparations on 6th January and got a score of 690 on 25th February, which doesn't exactly translate to a '1-month preparation' but during the 2nd attempt, all I did was solve the Official Guide questions and took the mock exams and tried to teach myself how to manage my time in the different sections. All my studying was done during the 1-month period before the 1st attempt, i.e from 6th January to 7th February
