Rail Freight & Passenger Services Compilation (January 2023 Pt3) - Australian Trains by Raysha1811. Thursday, 12 January to Sunday, 29 January 2023. Altona and Corio to Gheringhap. (1080p)

Hi folks. I have an assortment of clips I have put together featuring trains running up or down between Melbourne and Adelaide, all between Lara, which is part of The City of Greater Geelong & Gheringhap in the Golden Plains Shire. I have also included on I happened across in Altona. Please enjoy these clips. I have provided a brief description of each clip below.

1/- Gheringhap, Victoria. Thursday, 12 January 2023 at 06:49am
7732V, having left Murtoa earlier this morning makes an early arrival at Geelong, seen passing through Gheringhap with PacNat locomotives G519-BL31-BL33 and a rake of 38 hoppers to be unloaded at Geelong Grain Terminal.

2/- Corio, Victoria. Thursday, 12 January 2023 at 04:55pm
7922V passes through Corio with about 45 minutes of the trip from Dooen to Melbourne remaining. Todays effort is with locomotives SCT010-CSR013 and a rake of 68 wagons.

3/- Gheringhap, Victoria. Sunday, 15 January 2023 at 07:30am
7922V, with locomotives CSR008-SCT003 and a small rake of 31 wagons passes through early on a Sunday morning.

4/- Lara, Victoria. Sunday, 15 January 2023 at 05:46pm
1AM8 The Overland with PacNat locomotive NR9 hauls 6 passenger cars full of holiday makers, families and tourists towards it's final destination of Southern Cross Railway Station.

5/- Bannockburn, Victoria. Monday, 23 January 2023 at 05:37pm
9173 is a broad gauge QUBE hay train bound for Ultima with locomotives G515-G521 hauling 32 wagons. G515(Rising Fast) is sporting Rail First livery whilst G521 has the yellow and grey QUBE livery.

6/- Gheringhap, Victoria. Wednesday, 25 January 2023 at 08:25pm
1PM5 moves a massive rake of 109 platforms through Gheringhap behind PacNat locomotives NR24(City of Wollongong)-NR76.

7/- Altona, Victoria. Sunday, 29 January 2023 at 04:29pm
4PM4 uses a trio of PacNat locomotives NR43-NR40(City of Broken Hill)-NR111 to haul 47 wagons from Perth, Western Australia to Melbourne, just 16 kilometres away.

8/- Gheringhap, Victoria. Sunday, 29 January 2023 at 05:17pm
1AM8 The Overland has only one more stop to make before reaching Melbourne with PacNat locomotive NR9.

CFCLA = Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia.
GWA = Genesee & Wyoming Australia.
JBRE = Journey Beyond Rail Expeditions.
PacNat = Pacific National.
SBR = Specialised Bulk Rail.
SCT = Specialised Container Transport.
SSR = Southern Shorthaul Rail.

BG = Broad Gauge (1600mm/5’ 3”)
DG = Dual Gauge.
SG = Standard Gauge (1435mm/4’ 8 1/2”)

Most of what comes through my part of Victoria, Australia are freight and grain trains. They are predominately Standard Gauge and run on the main line between Melbourne, Victoria and Adelaide, South Australia. I do also get some trains occasionally along the old Broad Gauge line that runs between North Geelong and Ballarat.
