I thrifted this on January 30th 2024 for only $13.99! The speakers were included too! It's in fantastic condition, works perfectly, and sounds great for what it is. The video definitely doesn't do it justice.

The opening mechanism is fascinating which is why I was drawn to it. I love older tech like this and this player is from 1999, just about a year before I came along. I was actually looking for one of these for a while but they're so expensive that I thought I'd never own any of these cool vertical CD players.

Fun fact: the CD I used, Quad Maximus by Bass Mekanik, actually cost me more money than the CD player. Although not by much, it was $14.95.
