Lawyer: Duterte's granting of pardon to Pemberton unjust, goes against independent foreign policy

President Rodrigo Duterte's granting of absolute pardon to US Marine Joseph Scott Pemberton is unjust and goes against his claim of independent foreign policy, says the lawyer of the Laude family. Atty. Romel Bagares refutes Duterte's claim there was unfair treatment of Pemberton, adding they should have been given the opportunity to challenge Pemberton's good conduct record in court.
