YSL Jury Sees Donovan Thomas & Rich Homie Quan w/ Young Thug in 'Freestyle'

Shannon Stillwell's lawyer Max Schardt was the first to question Shawonna Edmond, the mother of Donovan "Big Nutt" Thomas Jr., in Young Thug's racketeering (RICO) conspiracy trial on Monday (May 20). He kept it brief, focusing on the photo of Thomas' gravesite and whether anyone was charged for the vandalism.

Young Thug's lawyer Brian Steel was next up. 02:05 He brought up a photo of Thug and Nutt.

Thomas was shot to death outside an Atlanta barbershop in January 2015 in what prosecutors allege was a gang-related murder on behalf of rapper Young Thug's Young Slime Life street gang. Investigators say YSL was feuding with Thomas' Inglewood Family Bloods gang, which included rappers YFN Lucci and Rich Homie Quan as members.

Prosecutors say Young Thug’s song “Slime Shit” is him confessing his involvement in Thomas’ murder when he raps, “Hundred rounds in a Tahoe, N****, lighting up your tacos, hey Give him surgery, no lipo.”

Two defendants on trial are charged with murder for Thomas’ fatal shooting: Shannon Stillwell and Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick. Yak Gotti is one of the rappers on “Slime Shit” with Thug.
