Johann Bertusch was one of the last speakers of the Sathmar Swabian dialect from the Petrești village, Satu Mare County. He recalls the poor economic conditions of his childhood. Johann Bertusch narrates about the fact his father refused to buy him a bicycle and an accordion, because of the Sathmar Swabian thriftiness.
