I started making a bicycle and I've been modelling it for more than a week. What can I say, it is a detailed bicycle. But it is not just any bike. It is that one special bike that I have had for just six months... before it was stolen. To console myself and the ongoing yearly suffering I bare on a daily basis (joke), a consequence of aforementioned unfortunate event :wink:, the decision has been made...

The model is not entirely correct (and still not complete), as it is very hard to model details from the references I gathered, so I have to imagine some details. Nevertheless, after modelling the entirety of the front wheel, the time has come to model something that I did not quite understand what it is or how it looks like. Google told me it was a Brake Caliper. Thank you very much! :smile:

References did not help. After being stuck for whole eight minutes, thinking what to do, I got an idea to look for the exact same model that was on these references. Lo and behold, I got what I wanted... more than I wanted, unfortunately...
A whopping *27k* resolution of a Shimano BR-MT200 Brake Caliper with all its glorious details **and complexity**.

Of course I had to model everything! Of course I did! So I did... I also had to make a short presentational video.....

There are some small details in the video that I don't like, like shadow on the ground, or the fact that the mesh got subdivided when animating everything (I cleaned most of it and I have a back-up, so it's fine). Anyway, I got to get back to actually modelling the bike......

Wanted to make a bike that someone stole from me some time ago. Got stuck modeling a brake caliper for three days, because why not.
