Rainforest Rescue buys back high conservation value rainforest that is under threat of development and protects it forever.

In addition to planting almost 300,000 trees, Rainforest Rescue has recently secured their 34th property, just north of the Daintree River, which connects to the Daintree National Park in North Queensland.

The stunning property is part of an important wildlife corridor, which Rainforest Rescue established, has huge conservation value. Thanks to their efforts this land, along with all the native flora, fauna and native endangered and threatened species, will be protected for generations to come.

Their next target is an adjacent property which will expand the Wildlife Corridor and continue to increase protected habitat in the Daintree Rainforest. Their new goal is to raise $160,000 by Christmas. This will allow them to rescue that property, get it certified as a nature refuge, extend their Native Nursery and restoration operations and, in collaboration with several conservation groups, build up to the next rescue - a huge piece of land that is part of the unprotected Lower Daintree.
