Regina/Emma - My Indigo (Swan Queen)

(Making this video inspired me to write a little as I was editing, so here's what I wrote to go along, it loosely fits I think.)

Emma and Regina shared one passionate night together just before the curse broke, but with the breaking of the curse there was no time to process or discuss what it meant, and so life went on.

That night never leaves them though, and they find that they never can connect with anyone on that same level again. With every chance of happiness thrown at them (pirates and pre-destined soulmates), they should be happy, but they just aren't. Even when they think happiness is in their grasp they find that something is in the way to stop it all, but nevertheless, they keep trying with these men because it's the right thing to do, right? A chance at a happy ending? A chance to give someone else their happy ending? How can they throw all that away?

Still, despite the men in their lives everything always comes down to each other and their strong, complex connection grows ever stronger. They never can quite put a name on what they are to each other because labelling themselves as friends just doesn't fit right.

It takes them years of pining and aching to get together, years of trying to make other relationships fit when they just don't, and when they are finally together it's just right. Like everything slotted into place, and their world rightened itself. They almost expect some huge event to go with it, but instead, they're just happy, completely blissfully happy unlike they've ever been before.

(I have to mention that this song is by my favourite singer and I definitely recommend checking her out, you might also know her as the lead singer of the band Within Temptation whose songs I've used for a few videos, but this is her new solo project so yeah, go listen. ^.^)
