Propane Patio Heater “Will Not Light”

This is a HILAND patio heater. Model # HLDSO1-CG. I was visiting a friend who asked me to look at his heater. He was having trouble getting it to start. These heaters are not difficult to work on. Access to the working parts is simple. These units and gas fireplaces all work on the same principles of operation. I don’t work on this stuff very often. I would think the thermocouple would be a good place to check if the pilot would not stay lit. In this case I started from the beginning of the fuel supply and worked my way thru. If I was getting fuel to the pilot and it would not stay lit I would test the thermocouple. I hope yo enjoy the video.
